My husband and I have been married almost 4 years. When we were 1st married we got contacted by and old friend asking if we would think about adopting her twins because she couldn't give them the life she wanted them to have. So when she was 6 months along we drove to Ohio to help her with her 1st set of twins who were 10 months old. We decided that we would take care of them until our girls were born and then we would swap babies. Well on Feb 28th (which is the oldest set of twins birthday) I got the call saying that she was going in for a C-section so I packed up the babies and drove 9 hours to Ohio. The moment I saw the girls I just knew in my heart that they were going to be mine. It was love at 1st sight. 3 months after they were born we finally were able to establish legal guardianship of them. Fast forward 1 year....We got another call asking us to help her with her oldest set of twins now 2 years old. So we again agreed to help her but little did we know we were going to keep them as well. So when she asked us to keep them as well it was an easy yet difficult decision. We had 2 sets of twins with the same birthday, February 28th. We had been trying to have natural children but we're told that we wouldn't be able to get pregnant on our own. So we decided to try to get pregnant with the help of doctors. And low and behold we became pregnant with twins. My girls were due on June 12th, 2016 but at the beginning of January 2016 I started having contractions. I was 19 weeks along and was terrified that we were going to lose our babies. I was put on hospital bed rest for 6 weeks when clarissas' cord prolapsed. On February 28th, 2016 I was rushed in for an emergency C-section. My girls were born at 1lb 6oz each. So tiny.
So now I have 3 sets of twins that all share the same birthday.
