Community Outreach

Would your company or organization like to be a part of our community outreach program? Come in to our office and pack backpacks for adoptive families in our community.

Volunteer Spotlight

We couldn’t do this without our volunteers! Here are some of our spotlight stories.

Adrienne Smith

Superhero Spotlight

Having been adopted as an infant, Adrienne welcomed an opportunity to champion a cause close to her own heart. Today, Adrienne leads the first college-based chapter supporting Jockey Being Family at Ithaca College.

“It gives me a platform to initiate positivity about adoption and inclusion,” she says.

Kevin Edmonston

Employee Spotlight

A dedicated Jockey Being Family volunteer, Kevin has helped the foundation by packing backpacks for adopted children, lending a helping hand at movie night and countless other activities JBF does with its partners like CCYF. Kevin also helps the JBF team at their Golf & Gala Classic, which is the foundation’s largest yearly fundraiser.

He is a true asset to the team of volunteers and has been personally touched by adoption. Both of his two children, Hailey and Jayden, were adopted as infants and found their forever homes with the Edmonstons. “Volunteering for Jockey Being Family: Rewarding; Knowing that you helped support a Forever Family: Priceless”

Business Spotlight

The Abbvie team truly cares about making a difference in the lives of adopted families in our community. Thank you for coming in to pack backpacks for all of our special families.

Community Spotlight

The Jockey Being Family “Knotters” are a group of Kenosha, WI based ladies (some of whom are former Jockey employees) who hand-tie hundreds of blankets each year that are then put into Jockey Being Family® backpacks that go to children in our Wisconsin community. Their heartwarming contributions have been enjoyed by countless children and their ‘Forever Families.’
